HAKU CAFE & IZAKAYA

Client:

HAKU CAFE & IZAKAYA

HAKU CAFE & IZAKAYA is a Japanese restaurant in Ealing, London, sponsored by Hakutsuru Sake Brewing, one of Japan’s largest sake manufacturers. The restaurant offers authentic Japanese cuisine and beverages in a refined, intimate atmosphere reminiscent of Japan.

Project:

Logo, Website, Print, Social Media Assets

I was tasked with designing a comprehensive range of assets, from the logo and website to printed materials and social media content.

The project began with the logo, inspired by the Japanese kanji “白 (Haku),” meaning white. Drawing from the restaurant’s name, menu, atmosphere, and the aesthetic of Hakutsuru Sake Brewing, I focused on expressing sake, intimacy, and purity through the logo design.

For the website, I developed a custom WordPress theme from scratch to meet the client’s specific requirements and accurately reflect their brand. The solution also allows the restaurant staff to easily update the menu and other content.

In addition, I created print and graphic materials, including business cards, menus, posters, and social media assets, ensuring a cohesive and polished visual identity across both digital and physical platforms.
