Club Quattro is one of Japan’s most renowned chains of live music venues. Their Osaka venue hosted a gig called Sakkaku, meaning “illusion” in Japanese. I was entrusted with designing the key visual that would convey the event’s unique atmosphere.
The event took place as COVID-19 restrictions were relaxed, allowing concerts under specific conditions, such as avoiding crowds. Inspired by the event’s title, I developed the concept: “A time and space so enjoyable that it creates the illusion of returning to the days when people could hold hands and dance.” This theme guided the design, capturing the nostalgic and immersive experience intended for the audience.
